Machiavelli and Asperger

I view myself as some sort of Machiavelli the 2nd. Contrary to widespread opinion, Machiavelli wasn't a scheming, evil guy. Quite on the contrary. What he had, though, was an ability to see how power is built, and how best to manipulate people. Suffices to say that those who KNOW this, and do not FEEL it, will never manipulate people. You have to have it in your guts, and the best manipulators couldn't describe what they are doing. For this you need a Machiavelli, and in his footsteps I aim to tread.

I have seen how manipulation works, have felt it on my own skin, and saw it applied on other people. I am writing this, so of course I am not very good at it, for I have Asperger syndrome. I tried to say "I suffer from Asperger syndrome", but I am not sure if it is the right term. Some people pretend they have Asperger these days, and wear it as some sort of mantle of honour. But I am drifting off...

I am trying to write this as a series of letters to myself aged 14. I wish I knew all this stuff then, and I hope I will be helping some fellow Asperger person. Thank me in your mind, this will be enough reward for me.

First article soon. In the meantime, read "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins. He is a great thinker, and this book is sure to click some revelation in an Aspergic person.

Hasta proxima...

Aspergino
